An independent business in search for a new logo and visual identity.
My good colleague, Jayzen Patria, launched his new business in 2017 as a speaker, facilitator, and performance consultant. To prepare for the big opening, Jayzen needed a new logo and brand that would help drive traffic to his website.
The process:
Jayzen provided me a great creative brief that helped set the direction — he wanted a logo that was modern and fresh instead of something that was corporate and stuffy.
His audience was specific: media, entertainment, and digital companies with creative workforces, but also non-profit organizations in the arts & social justice.
With all this in mind, I designed a suite of logos that stayed true to his brand and personality. I mocked them up in a variety of applications — stationery, promotional products, digital content — so that Jayzen knew exactly how his logo would translate across different mediums.
When he finally landed on the logo he wanted, he liked it so much that I created a monogram version too!
The deliverable:
After preparing the finished logo and monogram, I also provided Jayzen with a style guide with his six color choices — designed to reflect the colors of the Pride flag with a fresh twist — alongside typeface suggestions for online use.
Jayzen now sports his logo across his website, social media, presentation decks, and business cards. Pay him a visit here:
